Creatures of the ocean...

As you already know whales are longer than a bus and weigh the same as seven elephants but what you may not know about them is stored inside this blog.

I have just finished reading an amazing book called "Eco-warrior" by talented teen Skye Bortoli who (at the age of 13) when to Alaska and Japan to present petitions and speech's to penetrate whaling once and for all and the truth is most of the people in Japan don't even know how cruel whaling is. To catch whales you chase them around in a big boat and then blow them up with torpedo's, I know how could anyone ever be so mean.

Teenage Celebrities Hot AND Not!

Hmmm....this is an interesting topic - Teenage Celebrities...hot or not?

I reckon teen celebs are hot and not. It kinda depends on which teen celebs you are talking about.

Some teen celebs are really good role models as they might promote things in need such as World Vision or Disney's Friends for Change. These teen celebs obviously appreciate their fans and love their job. Without a doubt those type of teen celebs are HOT.

Some which are NOT? There's plenty of them!

Some teen celebs start out all good but then they think they are higher then everybody else. Some treat others such as interviewers or people below them like dirt. Some become naughty and swear or take naughty pictures of themselves and put them on to the internet. Those teen celebs are absolutely NOT.

Now you don't have to be a celeb to do these actions.

Look at these celebs and ask yourself which one would you like to be?

Hello Hot or Not followers!
Today our new post is about the website, picnik.com.
Some of you may have heard about it, some of you might be premium and some of you might be thinking right now
"What the heck are they talking about???"
Well, we will tell you...
Picnik is basically a fool proof photo shop. You can change the photos you upload by adding stickers, face paint, backgrounds, frames and lots more.
One of the downsides of picnik is like any other website you can pay to receive better options, however if you choose not to it's still brill.

The wwf in this site stands for: World Wildlife Fund.
You may have seen it advertised on TV, It's all about saving the environment and helping endangered species. One of us has just been on there and put her name down for a petition to save the Bengal Tiger. If the petition is successful the government will accept the petition and the population of the tiger will double dramatically. Thank you guys so much, it would be a huge help if you too could sign up!

Apple Mac Laptops - a 'must-have' !

Apple Mac Laptops are absolutely brilliant in many, many ways. And trust us, it is totally worth saving up your money for! Here's why:

The Apple Mac Laptops may have been around for a while, but it never get's old. That's because the Apple Company and it's technologists just keep making it better by installing new programs and changing the designs etc.

Mac Laptops range in a few different designs and colours such as silver, white and black. And these laptops aren't just "laptops", they don't only offer wireless internet - they offer so much more!

I know, I know going on holiday with the family? Not a good look! Na, Just Joking but I'm sure once you have read this you'll be a bit more eager to spend your homework-free,relaxation time on a tiki tour road trip!
New Zealand is a country full of everything we take pride in, for example:
Grandma and her knitted sheep sweater, Little Jack who takes his All Blacks signed rugby ball wherever he goes, Mum who treasures her op shop vintage Anzac biscuit tin and dad with his D.I.Y "hideout".
Did you spot something extra? Of course, all those things have a hint of kiwiana.
So NZ may be called "the land of the sheep" or "Kiwi a-go-go-land" or even "the never ending forest" but in the end it doesn't matter where you live, Vegas or Samoa.
Just as long as you have the sheep cardie, rugby ball, Anzac tin and a few hammers from Dads shed...
You can have your own slice of home.

FIFA World Cup

GOAL! Those words mean alot to those who are participating in the FIFA World Cup. The FIFA World Cup is just about the hottest thing right now! It is held every four years and this year is the 19th FIFA World Cup and is held in South Africa. There are 32 teams and 736 players from all over the globe but which two teams will get into the final and which team will win and become the FIFA World Cup 2010 champion?

Fair Trade......HOT!!!

When you see a World Vision advertisement from the break of your favourite program, what do you think about afterwards?

"OMG that was such a lame advertisement! I wanna get back to watching Glee!" or "How much money do I have in my wallet again? 5, 7, 9 umm... $11.00. I guess that might buy that poor little kid some sunblock!"

If you chose the second option then you are putting healthy food on someone's plate, fresh water to drink and an education to last a lifetime!

Fair Trade is exactly like that. You may have seen the Fair Trade logo on your favourite choc bar or a bag of coffee beans at the supermarket, This means that when the people in Africa or India traded their cocoa beans or coffee beans they got a fair price. So yes, your chocolate may go up another dollar but isn't it worth it?

LOL Drinks... Hot Or Not??

We have done our homework on these LOL fruit juice drinks.
These drinks may look cool and taste great but have they really got "no bad stuff"?
Right Now as we blog there are debates on whether children should drink these juices.
Apparently children starting from the age of six are drinking LOL drinks for breakfast as well as having at least 26gms of suger in each can! Schools are now trying to ban these drinks from the cafateria and the children's lunchboxes. There's even one school hiring a dietitian to instruct parents and caregivers the ingrediants in this drink!
But also these yummy drinks are great "pick-me-ups" for early risers. One 250ml can of LOL contains the same amount of energy and sugar as one 250ml carton of Golden Circle popper juice. These LOL drinks come in four fruity flavours: Bcurrent, Razz Bri, Go Mango and Tropkl. The logo is also bright, happy and friendly which makes children and teenagers become more attracted to it. No wonder six year olds are having it for breakfast!
